When B.I.M.S. first began working with Struckmyer Services, we were called in to resolve ongoing problems with their industrial freeze dryers. The equipment had experienced repeated failures, and previous repair attempts by another contractor had not addressed the underlying issues. In addition, we found that several repairs performed by the previous contractor had been completed improperly, creating additional reliability problems and making the equipment more difficult to troubleshoot. During our evaluation, we discovered that the freeze dryers were not only suffering from mechanical and control issues left unresolved by the previous contractor, but also from improperly completed repairs that had to be corrected before the equipment could operate reliably. We also found that Struckmyer's production process was exceeding the designed capacity of the freeze dryers. This excessive loading placed unnecessary stress on the equipment, reduced reliability, and contributed to repeated failures.
By correcting the improperly performed repairs, restoring the equipment to proper operating condition, and working closely with both the equipment manufacturer and Struckmyer's production team to optimize the operating process, B.I.M.S. significantly improved the reliability of the freeze dryers while minimizing costly downtime and increasing production reliability.

Industrial Chiller, Process Chiller, and Glycol Loop Expansion
As Struckmyer's production requirements continued to grow, additional process cooling capacity became necessary.
B.I.M.S. designed and installed a new industrial process chiller while expanding the facility's chilled water and glycol loop systems to support additional manufacturing equipment. Our team modified the chilled water and glycol piping, expanded the glycol circulation loop, and integrated the new process chiller into the existing system to ensure dependable operation throughout the facility.
The completed project increased cooling capacity, improved glycol circulation, maintained stable process temperatures, and provided reliable cooling for the industrial freeze dryers and other critical manufacturing equipment.
